Loraine DeBonis, Editor-in-Chief

Loraine DeBonis is responsible for directing content and design across all of Paybefore’s media platforms: Paybefore Update, Paybefore Legal, Paybefore Magazine, Paybefore News, Paybefore News International, Paybefore Mobile and Paybefore Buyer’s Guide. Since joining Paybefore in 2007, DeBonis has developed relationships with industry stakeholders worldwide. Much of her work has focused on understanding trends in reaching the unbanked segment as well as emerging international markets and POS technology. In the past two years, she increasingly has focused on the evolving mobile channel. DeBonis has been an editor and writer for national magazines and newsletters for 12 years, writing about everything from art and health to prepaid cards and mobile commerce. Prior to joining Paybefore, DeBonis covered the prepaid card industry for SourceMedia in Chicago. DeBonis received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English, magna cum laude, from Xavier University in Cincinnati. She lives in Tennessee with her husband Alex, an English professor, and their son Sam.
