Comdata provides employee-friendly payroll cards that help employers save money by going 100% electronic while providing employees a simple way to access their money with no fees.
Launched: 1991 with product overhaul in 2012.

Fees: Cardholders are only charged for cashing out the card completely at a bank except for the first transaction after payroll is loaded, registering a convenience check, and out-of-network ATM usage. If a cardholder chooses to go to a bank and completely cash out their payroll card, they can do this for free immediately after the card is loaded.

Metrics: Launched with the company’s first network branded card in 2001, and currently services 1.7 million active payroll cardholders. According to an Aite Group report, Money Network holds a 49% market share in the paycard market. Year-over-year growth in 2012 was 30% with more than 3,500 employers. It is estimated that the Money Network Payroll Distribution Service eliminates 75,500 lbs. of greenhouse gases from the environment and saves 26,500 lbs. of paper from being used.
